Learning Spanish Like Crazy is such a
fun program as you learn Latin American
Spanish along with your video instructor
Jazmin Barrera. She makes learning fun!
I found Spanish Like Crazy well written and
a big improvement over their earlier product
which was all audio and no interactive
lessons.
Still, there are tons of testimonials on the
site from people who have taken the course
and made great progress. And one thing I
always tell you to look for is some demo
lessons and you get that here.
What we don't have here that I thought
should have been included is a take-along
workbook that I could study in my free
time. Because of the Flash format, it wasn't
easy to fast forward or rewind without
the video freezing as well.
So it is a great program which will teach
you well, but for now I would wait until
they come out with a workbook, and encourage
you to look at Rocket Spanish.

Learning Spanish is so much
like Learning Spanish Like Crazy except
here you get all the audio on CD
which you can play anywhere and download
to your iPod or MP3 player.
It has been used by hundreds for a few
years and is the oldest of the learning
Spanish programs. Certainly it is a
fine product, but I feel like the developments
with Rocket Spanish and the video from
Jazmin with Spanish Like Crazy, surpass
the audio only teaching.
Here, you don't have a workbook,
which I feel is necessary, and the
lessons are based on hearing and repeating.
I can't knock this program because
it has been a success for many years.
However, this may be something you are
happy with, so I did include it here, but
highly recommend the Rocket Spanish at
this time. |
